Coming from Brazil, Joeblack is a singer and music producer. Graduated in Advertising, he was one the four vocalists of the Motown/Staxx cover soul group called The Hard Working Band. Moving from Porto Alegre, his hometown, to São Paulo, he started his career as a music producer working with pop, rap and r&b artists like Rodrigo Teaser, Negra Li, Thaíde, Banda Cine e Clawdia Ejara.
In 2014 he released his first Old School/Boogie project called Mundo Paralelo, with two volumes. The two eps were released through british label Mullet Records, owned by Nu Disco superproducer Justin Winks aka Casio Social Club. But was with his Robin S ‘Show Me Love’ remix and Dragon Suplex’s ‘First Kiss’ boogie rendition that he gained some attention, putting these two tracks at number one on the Juno Download and Traxsource Nu Disco/Indie Dance charts. Some of the high praises came from big names like the legends François K and Greg Wilson.
Now Joeblack debuts on SynthFunk Music with the new EP ‘The Groove And The Universe’, containing 4 new tracks full of heavy influenced disco funk and nu disco grooves, catchy synth bass lines and infectious vocal hooks.
